Our Social Programs are initiatives aimed at transforming vulnerable communities, seeking to improve living conditions and promote human and socioeconomic development. With strategic actions in several areas, our programs aim to meet the basic needs of the population, promoting inclusion, dignity and opportunities.
Among the main areas of activity, we highlight:
- Education and Training: Projects that promote access to quality education and professional training, preparing young people and adults for the job market and entrepreneurship.
- Food and Nutritional Security: Programs that guarantee access to healthy and sustainable food, aiming to combat hunger and malnutrition.

Sustainable Hinterland Program
The Sustainable Hinterlan Program consists of strategic actions aimed at rural community development, with seven main projects: Project Wells, Project Plantation, Project Four Legs, Project Sweet Hinterlan, Project Living Hinterlan Biodigester, Project Community Sanitation, and Project Environment. These initiatives aim to:
- Adapt the communities of the northeastern Hinterlan to current climate changes, addressing a fundamental human need: access to clean drinking water;
- Promote sustainable development through the productive inclusion of rural populations, contributing to transforming the socioeconomic reality of families;
- Encourage good environmental practices, respect local culture, and strengthen the resilience of farmers in the northeastern semi-arid region.
The projects of ACEV SOCIAL encompass the following stages:
- Community mobilization (joint participation of associations, churches, schools, and community leaders);
- Mapping the project’s area of operation;
- Diagnosing the community’s needs;
- Raising awareness about socio-environmental issues, rights advocacy, and gender equity;
- Intervention activities that promote the self-sustainability of the beneficiaries.
Well Construction Projects
The project drills and equips wells to serve vulnerable communities in the northeastern semi-arid region, where access to water is challenging. It develops actions that contribute to the sustainability of families and farmers affected by drought, a common issue in the area.
The project stages include:
- Community mobilization (joint participation of associations, churches, schools, and community leaders);
- Mapping the area;
- Diagnosing the community’s needs;
- Drilling and assembling the wells;
- Raising awareness about socio-environmental practices.

Water scarcity is one of the deepest causes of rural exodus in the northeastern Sertão.
Without access to water, families struggle to grow food and care for livestock, forcing many to abandon their land. In urban centers, these individuals seek better living conditions but often face precarious situations, violence, drugs, homelessness, and even family breakdown. Men leave in search of livelihood but, in many cases, do not return, leaving wives and children unprotected. Paternal absence worsens the cycle of poverty and emotional vulnerability, especially for children.
The installation of wells drastically changes this reality, offering communities the chance to remain on their land with dignity and security. Access to clean water not only ensures survival but also fosters social and economic development and strengthens family bonds.

Maria and Cícera share the harsh reality of living without a bathroom at home. In a small, precarious space, they take showers and face the challenge of fulfilling their physiological needs outdoors, in the bush. This is the reality for many families in Brazil’s northeastern semi-arid region, where the lack of basic sanitation is a critical issue. The video also highlights the story of a quilombola community, descendants of enslaved Africans, who strive daily to preserve their traditions and achieve dignified living conditions. Social Projetc four Legs
The project aims to enhance the income and improve the nutritional quality of vulnerable families in the northeastern Sertão by encouraging the raising of goats and sheep.
Participants receive:
- A vaccinated animal (goat or sheep),
- Technical guidance and ongoing monitoring,
- A veterinary medicine kit (deworming and nutrients).
A formal agreement is established with the beneficiary family to ensure proper care of the animal. The first offspring is returned and passed on to another family one year after the initial handover, promoting the sustainability and growth of the project.

Plantation Project
The project works with vulnerable families in the northeastern semi-arid region to develop agroecological gardens, fruit cultivation, and native plant species. Its goal is to improve food quality through technical training and entrepreneurial incentives, contributing to household income.
The initiative utilizes existing water resources within the community or those made available through wells drilled by Social Evangelical Action. The process emphasizes good environmental preservation practices, local culture, and the vocation and resilience of Sertão farmers.

Plantation ProjectCampaign - Goal 2024 - Support and Monitor the Growth of a Family in the Semi-Arid Region!
In Brazil’s semi-arid northeast, families face tremendous challenges to cultivate and maintain their land. The Plantation Project aims to benefit and monitor the progress of a family, promoting sustainability, increasing agricultural production, and strengthening the local economy.
With an estimated value of R$ 14.116,30 (approximately 2,809.21 USD, including PayPal fees), the project will provide resources to enhance agricultural production, including seeds, supplies, and technical support, ensuring the family can thrive and continue cultivating sustainably.
